The injury bug hits the Tigers

Needling Therapy for Patellar Tendonitis

Just a couple of days into spring training and the dreaded injury bug has reared its ugly head by taking a bite out of several Tigers.

Brennan Boesch was out with an oblique strain. Now Ramon Santiago and Andy Dirks were struck this weekend. There is no timetable for their return to the lineup.

Santiago, a utility infielder, was hurt while sprinting on Saturday.

Dirks was taken out of Sunday’s lineup. He is projected to be the Tigers starting left fielder on opening day.

*** UPDATE***

Welp, you can add Quintin Berry to the growing list now. He has patellar tendinitis in his knee.  That’s three outfielders and an infielder so far – if you are keeping track!
